We chose the name Burley’s for several reasons.
Our great-great-great grandfather, Jacob Burley, was the first settler of Tyrone. His house was situated on the site of the old Jones Building, which has been rebuilt as the new Tyrone Snyder Public Library.
The Burley family has always been involved in the Tyrone business community. Our grandfather, Richard "Pap" Burley, and his brother Charles for years operated a plumbing, sporting goods, toy store and propane gas business - Burley Bros.out of the building next door.
When it came time to choose a name, Burley’s seemed a natural choice. Our goal is to continue the tradition and commitment that previous Burleys have made to Tyrone. Thank you for choosing Burley’s. We hope you will join us soon.

In June of 2003 we were selected by Starbucks® for their
"We Proudly Brew" Program. The premiere coffee retailer hand-picked Burley's as a fine dining establishment between Altoona and State College meeting Starbucks'® strict critera for service of their robust and eclectic products.
Since then, we have been exclusively serving Starbucks® Regular and Decaf Coffee, Cappucino, Latte, and Espresso. In addition, we carry a nice selection of Tazo Herbal and Flavored Teas, also a Starbucks® brand. To date, we are one of the very few establishments in Blair County to enjoy the privilege of providing our guests this superior beverage service along with our excellent food and desserts. Once again, Burley's has succeeded in bringing you the finest
Food & Drink with a casual atmosphere and price. |
